Can concrete be placed over existing floors?

In order to put concrete over existing slabs, you’d need to prepare and apply a chemical bonding agent first. The new layer also needs to be reasonably thick to prevent cracking and to adhere to the bonding agent. However, if the existing concrete is damaged, then it is best to remove and replace it entirely.
